Mr. Lee White

Lee White, FCA, became IFAC's Chief Executive Officer in March 2024. IFAC represents millions of professional accountants through 180 member and associate organizations in 135 jurisdictions. A professional accountant and member of ACCA and CAANZ, Lee has worked in assurance at PwC and the Auditor-General of NSW, as a securities and audit inspector regulator, and as a leader in global financial reporting and sustainability standards.

From 2018 to 2024, he was Managing Director at the IFRS Foundation, overseeing the creation of the ISSB and its first sustainability standards. He previously served as the inaugural CEO of CAANZ (2012–2017), leading its formation, and was Chief Accountant at ASIC, representing Australia at IOSCO. His career has been dedicated to serving the public interest. Lee is a proud graduate of INSEAD’s Executive Leadership program.
