Prem is the proud holder of the designation Professional Accountant (SA) and has been in private practice since qualifying. She also holds the designations CFP® Professional and Chartered Director (SA). Her qualifications include BCom (Accounting) and MCom (Taxation) degrees as well as an Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning. Aside from her professional experience, Prem is an experienced and well-respected board director having served as a non-executive director on various boards since 2004, including the board of the Financial Planning Institute of Southern Africa and the US based Financial Planning Standards Board. Aside from her current chairmanship of the South African Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA), she also serves as the independent chair of the PPS Investments board and is an experienced pension fund trustee. Despite her passion for and her dedication to her profession, she is also passionate about financial literacy and makes the time to dedicate herself to issues around savings and debt management.
