An experienced CA(SA) with 20+ years of experience in professional accountancy education. I have a strong track record working in professional accounting education, my focus in recent years being on strategy development and the conceptualisation, establishment and implementation of learning and development projects within SAICA. I leverage my professional education experience, financial and business knowledge to implement changes and new thinking and cocreate solutions. I keep a keen eye on evolving educational and economic trends to generate new ideas and deliver innovative programmes. I have experience in developing and regularly updating the SAICA competency framework to ensure that accountants remain relevant for the roles they need to perform in an ever-evolving landscape. A personal passion of mine is preparing a new generation of diverse future focused thought leaders who can think critically, apply their technical and non-technical skills and exploring new areas such as sustainability, data analytics and AI.
